clamp ARS M1

plate weight (clamp) ARS M1

The plate weight (clamp) ARS M1 is an innovative development from ARS MACHINAE. It not only fulfills its task as a weight to press the record to the turntable. It also improves the sound with its integrated powder damper. The innovative damping using a powder filling developed by ARS MACHINAE and the University of Bayreuth/Fraunhofer Institute unfolds its effect above all on massive turntables. It dampens spurious vibrations in all frequency ranges. This ensures a finely resolved, spatial sound.

One more tip...

If, for once, you are not listening to a record but a CD, we recommend using your record clamp ARS M1 placed on the housing of your CD player during playback. You will notice a difference. Because the integrated powder damper also dampens the vibrations of the CD player. Or other devices. You hear no difference? Great, then your device is already very well damped. We can only advise you: try it out.

And this is what Mr. Preusche writes to us after he has tested our record clamp. Thank you for the kind permission.

"The effect was incredible: A clean scan and their wonderful products then really showed what they can do. Very difficult to describe without trying the usual suspects from the high-end vocabulary. But the famous blackness or silence is certainly a point, Above all, however, there was always the need for more physicality of the instruments. Today I even had the opportunity to draw a comparison with a similar record edition from an American manufacturer. Similar, but only in terms of material. The processing alone is so miles away from yours Product. In terms of sound, on a quick listen, it's not that far removed from its edition, but then again: more space and authenticity with Ars Machinae. Maybe that's what makes it so special: in the usual test reflex, you instinctively compare the width of the stereo image, the depth of space. Higher, faster, further. But I finished my test with the feeling that h he meets the music simply and authentically. And that's probably the greatest compliment you can give on a test like this...

One more thing, and this is something to keep in mind with all the testing: your record clamp sounds fantastic! That's really important at this point! I listened with the clamp for a while, but when I go back without the clamp, it's really amazing how the audio image becomes blurry and the gradation shrinks. Really great! And an incredible intensity and calm in the music. "
